Pellet appliances require type “L” venting.  This is manufactured in both 3” and 4” inner diameter.  The venting consists of a stainless steel core and typically a galvanized outer shell. 

Earth Sense Energy Systems holds an exclusive joint patent with Selkirk Metalbestos venting on their “Direct-Temp” vent system.  The “Direct-Temp” is a single pipe design which integrates both fresh air intake and flue gas exhaust.  With its silicone woven fiberglass seal, no silicone sealant is needed on your main seams.  A 1” combustible clearance allows you to install in tight places and still maintain code.  We at Earth Sense Energy Systems have designed exclusive kits for this “Direct-Temp” venting.  Kits A, B, and C cover 90% of the installations, insuring the customer will have the necessary pieces to get the unit installed correctly the first time without making multiple costly trips.  Stainless steel inner liner, lock tab security, and easy rotation are all standard on this vent which makes installation a breeze.

Earth Sense Energy Systems still offers select pieces of the standard double wall 3” and 4” which is also manufactured by Selkirk Metalbestos.
